A New Beginning: Kids Promise Builds House No. 61 for a Family in Need

On April 26, 2025, the Kids Promise team celebrated the handover of Charity House No. 61, located in Suoi Soong 2 Hamlet, Phu Vinh Commune, Dinh Quan District, Dong Nai Province. This special event marked the beginning of a brighter future for Mr. Duong and Mrs. Sim and their family—a home filled with warmth, security, and hope.

A Family Facing Tough Challenges

For many years, Mr. Duong and Mrs. Sim’s family endured difficult living conditions, relying on relatives for shelter. Mr. Duong had suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed on one side, and Mrs. Sim was the sole provider for their three young children. Adding to their challenges, one of their children has developmental delays, and another recently faced a serious accident. Amid these hardships, having a sturdy, safe home seemed like a dream that wasn’t possible for their family.

Building More Than Just a House

Kids Promise stepped in to change that reality. The team began construction of a solid, secure home designed to meet the family’s needs. The new house features:

• Concrete pillars and brick walls for strong support
• A corrugated iron roof to protect from the elements
• Tiled floors for easy maintenance and comfort
• Essential furniture, including a dining table, desk, chairs, and a standing fan
  
  

A Home to Grow and Thrive In

The completion and handover of this home is more than just a construction milestone—it’s a fresh start. The children now have a peaceful, safe space to focus on their studies, and the entire family has a comfortable and stable environment after years of uncertainty and struggle.
